Imabari Tea Towel | Sloth Green

In this playful Imabari "ナマケルというお仕事" (Sloth at Work) tea towel from moritaMiW’s collection, a laid-back sloth takes its time — depicted with delightful ease and bright green pile against a calm beige gauze. The piece carries a humorous poem by Morita MiW:

“La-zing, la-zing.
Today, too, the sloth is up to no rush.
His work is just being slow —
earnestly, quietly, speed-ily… well, sometimes with a little smile.”

The towel measures 45 × 70 cm and is crafted from 100 % cotton with a thoughtful double-layer structure of tangis cotton and tropical cotton. One side features a gauze weave for light texture and air-flow, the other boasts colourful pile fabric for absorbency and depth. It is designed not simply as a utility item but as a subtle piece of fabric art that may serve as a dishcloth, wrap, baby blanket or decor accent. Each towel carries a story card for discovery or gifting.
