These are by the French artist Emilie-Allain Séguy (1877-1951).  A number of these were published by Tolmer Éditeur mostly in the 1920’s. He has mixed several colourful and exotic butterflies, giving them strikingly bright-coloured looks.

These beautiful insects are found in so many different lovely colours and sizes and play such an important role in pollinating flowers.

Printed with Japanese archival ink on a matte Hahnemühle paper in our own studio in rural Copenhagen, Denmark.
