€39,50

Kenzan is an essential tool in ikebana, the Japanese art of floral arrangement, where space and harmony are carefully considered. Also known as kado, or “the way of flowers”, this practice relies on simple tools to achieve precise and expressive compositions.

Made with a weighted metal base and fine brass pins, the kenzan holds stems securely in place, allowing flowers, branches, and leaves to be arranged with intention.

SPECIFICATIONS

  • Dimensions: 115 x 33 mm
  • Weight: 293g
  • Material: Brass/ Lead

HOW TO USE

  • Place the kenzan in a shallow container with water. Press stems firmly onto the pins to secure them in position. For thicker stems, trim or make a small cross cut at the base to allow easier placement.

Care

  • Rinse after use and remove any plant residue. Dry thoroughly before storing. Use a straightener tool to realign any bent pins if needed.

"The elongated form makes it especially suited to horizontal arrangements, allowing for a more open composition."
